color: #ffffff; border-color: rgba(255,255,255,0.11); ' ><p>Originally from the United States, Kristen Huebner now bases her musical life in the Netherlands and Europe. Kristen received her first Bachelors Degree in Music Performance from the <em>University of Minnesota, Minneapolis<\/em> studying with Immanuel Davis. After hopping the pond to the Netherlands in 2009, she has since become an avid specialist on the baroque flute, holding both Bachelors and Masters Diplomas from the <em>Utrecht Conservatory<\/em> (BM) and <em>The Royal Conservatory of The Hague<\/em> (MM), where she studied with Wilbert Hazelzet and Kate Clark. She has toured Europe with the <em>Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra<\/em> under the direction of Ton Koopman and has collaborated alongside members of the <em>Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century<\/em> under Frans Br\u00fcggen. Her work with the Paris-based<span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ensemblediderot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong> Ensemble Diderot<\/strong><\/span><\/em>,<\/a><\/span> led by Johannes Pramsohler, has led to numerous appearances at festivals such as <em>Musikfest Erzgebirge<\/em> and the<em> Bach Biennale Weimar<\/em>. In addition Kristen appears on the ensemble&#8217;s 2016 CD recording of the Mondonville Trio Sonatas on Audax Records. Collaborations with several European historically informed ensembles have included performances at the <em>Valletta International Baroque Festival<\/em> in Malta with Mahan Esfahani and <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"http:\/\/lafoliabarockorchester.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>La Folia Barockorchester<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Kristen\u2019s research on <em>Empfindsamkeit<\/em> in the chamber music of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach has been adapted into an article for the online journal <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.musicandpractice.org\/volume-2\/empfindsamer-stil-a-microcosm-of-cultural-change\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Music &amp; Practice<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/span>, published in 2015.
